Protesting against Whom?

Mustafa Hamido
It is not surprising that a majority of the people in the middle east region are poor. The rates of poverty is increasing year after year without a hope that what the governments claimed results  of reforms  is going to be gained soonly.  Poverty is directly connected to lack of democracy. It is a balanced equation, poverty equals dictatorship . Without a well educated people and full stomach people , we will not see any real democracy. In that case , Democracy will be a kind of profounding the traditional  rulers who used to rule without any kind of accounting. The big question now and the most serious is : are we able to create a democracy with this high rate of poverty? You can say easily that any democracy with the poverty is temporary and is very limited.

  1. "Creating" a democracy is a long process, fighting poverty is an infinite one.
I think we - as a society - should make efforts on both issues simultaneously, otherwise the aims of any claimed economical reforms would be doubtable.
